I'm not gonna lie every time I shoot a couple I get an overwhelming feeling of excitement and nervousness! My main goal is to make sure my clients feel as comfortable as possible, but I'm also secretly hoping that they chose me; not only because they like my photos but also because they've read my blog or follow me on facebook/instagram and felt that our personalities would mesh well together!
Within the first 5 minutes of meeting Yvonne & Tyler their first joked was a "that's what she said", and I knew we were a perfect match because that's one if my favorite lines! I drop that phrase like no other at home and ill admit sometimes it doesn't make sense, but it's fun to make my family think for a second until they realize it! :) So it was the coolest thing when Yvonne used the phrase "that's what she said" and it didn’t make sense either! Tyler was so kind to bring it to her attention, but at the same time giving her kuddos on all the other times when she did a good job at using that phrase! Some of you have no idea what I'm talking about lol, so go watch an episode of the Office and then you'll catch my drift :) The rest of the day went by so smoothly with lots of laughs! So without further ado I give you Yvonne & Tyler's Love Story: Yvonne & Tyler attended the same law school in Arizona. They were introduced by mutual acquaintances and came to find out that they had a few classes together! Tyler thought she was an intriguing beauty and Yvonne was attracted to his awesome sense of humor and his handsome good looks! Even though Yvonne had a “No Boyfriend Policy” Tyler won her over and they dated for two years before he surprised her by proposing last Christmas! They were visiting his family out in Wisconsin and Tyler took Yvonne to the capital building in Madison after a romantic dinner. It was just passed midnight and snow had just started to fall when Tyler dropped to his knee and popped the big question. After Yvonne screamed “YES!” both of their families came running out surprising her! Huge thanks to Yvonne & Tyler for selecting me to capture your love story and allowing me to be apart of this special time in your lives! I know your wedding is going to be spectacular! Holla at me if you need a wedding photographer! Wink! Wink! ;)

A few months back my friend Alexander Hoggard, a filmmaker/ photographer, asked my son and I if we would be play a mother and son role in a Chips Ahoy commercial that he was entering in a contest. I hesitated at first because I am a HORRIBLE (notice the all caps on HORRIBLE) actress! But when Alex notified me that I wouldn’t have any dialogue and the main focus would be on my son and his “pretend” father, I was sooo down! Unfortunately this video clip didn’t win, but we had tons of fun shooting and it was such a great experience. Little Jack was Cookie Wasted!!! Literally bouncing off the couch & walls with the amount of cookies he ate! At the end of the shoot he didn’t want a cookie anywhere near him! Im so excited because I just learned that I can share videos on my blog... WATCH OUT NOW! So without further ado here is my Super Star son Jack Jordan’s Grammy Award winning moment! :) I spent the last few months of m pregnancy preparing for Maxx’s newborn shoot. I had all the little outfits, baskets, hats, guitars,… you name it I had it!
In the corner by the window was a little studio setup. The cushion was in place. The Heater on. White noise playing in the background. And I had a 6 day old sleeping baby! I thought it would be a synch since I was successful photographing my niece who was 10 days old. I heard that the younger the baby, the better the session! Let me just put this on record that I am NOT A NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER! It was everything BUT a synch! He was the wiggliest worm! He peed on the cute hats. He refused to go on his belly. And the second that I thought he was in a deep sleep he would wake u crying! I had a minor anxiety attack! No lie! I realized that I don’t have the patience posing babies lol. I attempted it two days in a row and no shebang! I realized if I was gonna get any newborn photos of my baby, it was going to have to be more of a lifestyle session. A natural environment. So I threw a white onesie on Maxx and a white t-shirt on lil Jack and threw them in my freshly made bed! The moments that I got of my two sons were better than any vision I had imaged id get with him in a basket! (Don’t Get me wrong, I adore the baby in basket photos). Before I share all the photos with you, Im going to show my favorites that I chose for his birth announcements! So without further ado… here it is!!! I'M BAAAACK!!! I wanted to catch up on old blog posts before I launch my new website & my recent shoots! SUPER PUMPED so share them with yall! So Im gonna let you in on a very special moment in our lives, lets go back three months... for the birth of Mr. Maxx Dean! We arrived at the hospital at 9:30am with smiles, eager to meet the little booger that was beating up my ribs! Checkout this HUGE MAMACITA!!! :) The smiles didnt last long... After 9 hours of being in the hospital our son was finally born!!! I know I shouldn’t complain because some woman are in labor for 24+hours, but I was in sooo much pain I was ready to get him out!!! And here he is... Born at 6:30pm! Look at all that hair!!! Love at first Sight! He was born on his actual due date which was pretty cool, Feb. 7, 2013! Maxx weighed 7lbs 15oz and 20 ¼ in long. Proud Daddy checking out his new baby boy! Thank God he is healthy! The moment Lil Jack has been waiting for... to hold his baby brother! Love my boys! Ava came to meet her new cousin! :) Maxx is so lucky to have an amazing family who adores him already! We love you guys so much! Big thanks to my mama for documenting this special day! Thanks to all of you that sent your love and support on my instagram & facebook page! You guys are sooo awesome for continuing to follow even after I’ve been M.I.A. for 3 months! I hope to sneak away and blog at least once a week!
