Maternity Session Information
When is the best time for a maternity session?
Maternity Photography is best done between your 7th and 8th month if pregnancy ( 31-34 weeks). If you are carrying multiples, close to 6-7 months. This may feel a bit late to you, but we want to have that perfect bump showing for your session!
I'm not sure I want to do a maternity session, I'm not sure I feel up to it?
I totally understand, and we've all been there in our pregnancies. But I hear from plenty of clients who wish they would have documented their pregnancy after the baby was born, so they had heirloom imagery to pass down to their children.
What do I wear to a maternity session?
Wardrobe is key in a photo session, and it should be deemed important to make the best of your investment. That is why we will work closely together in helping you feel confident and prepared picking out the best outfit. I love long dresses in maternity sessions, and recommend all my clients to wear them. It helps make you look longer and balances out the baby bump. Here is a Pinterest Board for "What To Wear" to give you some inspiration. Also the lighter neutral solid colors help achieve the bright and airy photos you in on my website. I do also offer a collection of gowns for you to use during your session, along with beautiful flower crowns in all sizes -from newborn to mama. Make sure you freshen your nails :)
Can my husband and other children join me for the maternity session?
Of course! Husbands are always welcome, and children are encouraged to participate in your maternity session as well. Not only is this a special time in your life, but theirs as well. Often starting out the session with just Mom or Dad then I'll invite the children to join! You will want to bring someone to watch your children until they are added into the photoshoot.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
Maternity photography sessions can take place at an outdoor location within Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. For a more lifestyle, cozy, intimate feel, we can take them in the comfort of your own home. If you are unsure where you want to do your session, we can discuss to see what will work best for you. I have plenty of locations up my sleeve and I am happy to share them with you to help guide where you feel best!

In home lifestyle sessions are taken around 11am.
How many pictures should I expect to proof from the session?
