You know that I am a believer of people finding their soulmate at a young age - well this sweet couple is a perfect example! Sylvia and Darryl worked at the movie theatre together when they were 18 years young. He thought she was really cute with a warm welcoming personality. She thought he was handsome and liked how he made her laugh. Sylvia was the one that had the guts to approach Darryl first -don't let her soft voice fool you! :) Obviously it was true love because they have been together for a whopping 12 years!!!! Darryl proposed to Sylvia at the top of the Empire State building -can you say AMAZING!! They planned to have their engagement shoot at Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles. It was a beautiful warm Sunday and there were TONS of people at the park. But no matter how many people were around Darryl couldn't keep his eyes off of Sylvia! And Sylvia just ADORES him! He knew just what to say to get her to giggle :) Thank you Sylvia & Darryl for allowing me to document this special moment in your lives! I cant wait for your wedding this October! :)

This weekend we celebrated my little bro Mikes BIRTHDAY!!!! Yay!!! We took him and the boys to go see the Ninja Turtle Movie -which was AWESOME! We all loved it! You should def go take your little ones! :) Ps. We were the only goofs dressed up lol! Later that night we all went cosmic bowling. This was Maxx's first time bowling and he had more fun dancing to the music than actually throwing the ball! This was the first time we rented a lane with bumpers for Mike & the boys and it was a hit! They had so much fun! I've been talking about cutting my hair for so long and we finally did it! My sister came over and chopped it right below my shoulders! Around 8 inches gone! I would've loved to have donated it but the hair had been bleached before so they wouldn't accept it :( wahh! I'm not sure how I feel about it! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! It's definitely a change -not what I had envisioned but the actual cut is nice so I'm just going to ride it out and enjoy the low maintenance :) maybe throw some more color to spice it up! On Sunday I got to spend time with the ladies and go dress shopping for Karinas wedding! The girl time was long overdue! She spoiled us with lunch, desserts, and homemade watermelon margaritas! Bombdeezy! Karina looked stunning in her dresses, I know that Tony is going to cry like a baby when he sees her walking down that aisle! We even got to play dress up too with some fun bridesmaid dresses too! It's so nice to be able to be apart of this special moment of their lives! And I even get to walk down the aisle with my hubster once again because he is the best man! Can't wait for the bachelorette party - I mean wedding day! Hehe! :) |

Most days, you'll find me in mismatched socks and a top knot, working behind my computer with a smile on my face, listening to Zac Brown Band and R&B --or, dancing in the kitchen with my 3 littles and hunka husband, seeing who could come up with the coolest dance moves. I'm a wedding photographer, West Elm lover, aspiring advocate for our buddies with special needs, and a Certified Dreamer since 1986. We live in a cozy city in Southern California and are always up for a good adventure. I enjoy telling stories with my camera, grubbing on spicy food, and solving the latest Dateline case.
