Your eyes are still at 20/20. I was thrilled to hear the doc tell me that my eyes are healing up well. I can see perfect –it’s pretty awesome. My eyes get a lil dry here and there but not an issue I can’t deal with. I just can’t wait till next summer so I can swim with my eyes open! It’s been too long that I’ve been swimming blindly.
The fam bam and I took my son and lil bro to the pumpkin patch in chino hills. We had so much fun. We were supposed to buy tickets but there wasn’t anyone collecting them, so we were able to go on the rides over and over. My lovely husband got a little carried away with his tricks coming down the inflated slides that he ended up breaking my last pair of sunglasses. Terd. I only have time to post these few photos but I hope to throw some up of our goof heads coming down the slide. I finally got some of my wedding photos and was able to make our Wedding Thank you cards. I never toot my own horn but TOOT TOOOT!! I’m so excited on how good they came out & I want to post an example, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise for our guests that will be getting them in the mail. Oh and you will notice my new lil logo on my photos now :) Watch out now....

I must be crazy to stay up til 2:30am to edit photos... but what can I say... Im addicted! All of my siblings are making fun of me... Brats! Here’s some more photos from another workshop -siblings. It was a very interesting day, trying to get the attention of everyone at once was a challenge. When one child was ready to smile, the other wasn’t having it. I shot paparazzi the whole time with whatever available light I had, in a studio lit room -so bare with all the graininess . I'm glad that I am taking this class becuase I've realized that I don’t really like studio lighting or posing. I stood to the side and watched as the chaos went down and tried to capture some natural moments... Sisterly Love...These sisters were very supportive of their little brothers who were not having a good day. I loved seeing the love... There's something soothing about lying on a pile of clean clothes straight out of the dryer. The warmth makes me feel all cozy... I’ll never outgrow this feeling. Jack looks at me like I'm strange, but then again he often looks at me with that face. I love to trip people out -in a good way of course.
There are always a few people judging you on your appearance. I recently had someone tell me thatI was high maintenance because I was wearing a zebra print book bag (which I had for 6 years, from high school n bought for $15 buckaroos)and sunglasses ($5 from the alleys in L.A.)... oh how wrong he was. Jack taught me to not care what negative people think and he adores my randomness. I like to throw myself out there around quiet timid people. Like last night during dinner I began singing loudly, a song that Rizzo sings from Grease (which is one of my all time fav movies, it’s up there with forest gump) just to trip my bro n our friend Buns out. Her face was priceless. Some people have the gift of speaking and cracking jokes, (which I murder anything that comes out of my mouth) but I'd like to think I have the gift of randomness :) I can’t believe it’s already been 2 months since our wedding! Time has flown by but at the same time it’s been so slow since I’m waiting for my wedding photos to come in. I’m the type of person that buys Christmas gifts early in the year and gives it to them early because I get soo excited and I can’t wait. I’m super impatient, so I feel like it’s been the longest two months of my life. I’ve seen some photos online and I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to make my Thank you cards and wedding album, especially since I’ll be learning tips and techniques in class. I go nuts whenever I hear a mail truck come by our house hoping that i have a package in there! Mail man please bring me my Letter! (in this case CD) This month has been a computer nightmare! ugh!! i want to pull my hair out, but i wont lol. Every computer that i touch seems to die on me... whyyyyy? And now my doggon flash drive is broken!! i lost the photos from the last bride and bowling and kids photoshoot that i had been waiting to post. I guess you'll never get to see them. I know im being a lil dramatic but im tired of this nonsense. Luckily i found a bit of hope on my camera from my Godsons Alex's 2nd birthday breakfast on sunday. These photos make me smile because it shows exactly who they are. I love these munchkins sooo much, i want to bite their cheeks!

I'M JANELLE MARINA
Wife, Mama Shark, + Photographer. Most days, you'll find me in mismatched socks and a top knot, working behind my computer with a smile on my face, listening to Zac Brown Band and R&B --or, dancing in the kitchen with my 3 littles and hunka husband, seeing who could come up with the coolest dance moves. I'm a wedding photographer, West Elm lover, aspiring advocate for our buddies with special needs, and a Certified Dreamer since 1986. We live in a cozy city in Southern California and are always up for a good adventure. I enjoy telling stories with my camera, grubbing on spicy food, and solving the latest Dateline case.
