We took lil bro out bowling and I was depabting on whether I should take my camera in. Im still learning how to meter and set the shutter speed and f-stops This was my first time trying to capture photos in a dark lit room with lots of movement. We were having such a great time laughing & goofing around, there were tons of perfect camera shots. So I decided to give it a try. I took a few photos trying to meter my light and I found that i had to use my flash. Dun Dun Dun!!! Ive never used my flash before and I've heard plenty of horror stories how flash can ruin your photos by over exposing. So i played with the flash controls to lower the power on the flash and i think i got some pretty good photos. Ill have to post them up later...

It’s finally quiet, the family is all knocked out for the night. I snuck my mom’s laptop over my house so I can try to edit some photos but I did a pretty half fast job because she doesn’t have the programs that I'm used to using. I am still waiting for my computer to get fixed so this will have to do. Plus it’s hard when I’m running back and forth from the computer to my son’s room because he wasn’t comfortable or he wanted the fan on or his feet were sticking out from the blanket & he's too lazy to sit up and recover them… he used every excuse in the book to stay awake a little longer. Doggon kid. I really wanted to get some photos up because I really love posting photos and getting feedback from yall whether its good or constructive. I’m a tough cookie I can handle it, I know I have lots to improve on. Anywhoo I’m kinda jumping ahead of my timeline of photos that I want to post. I have my latina bride, children 2-5, bowling night, & kids 5-10 to post but those will have to wait because I only had these with me. I really hate to skip around but Unorganized is my middle name. The photos below are from my wedding class. The instructor invited a newlywed bride to come and pose for our class. It was a pretty crazy photo shoot, we walked all around the neighborhood looking for cool spots and the instructor was even posing her on people’s porches. He's pretty ballsy but thats what cracks me up. He has crazy energy that I wish I had. He comes up with the most awesome photos. She was a good sport and I hope you enjoy... I felt like I was part of the paparazzi trying to squeeze in and get any shots I could get. So these are the best ones I got without my classmates elbows and other body parts in the way, like this one...
I’m sooo backed up and I hate it… Grrr! Both of our computers have been down all week so I have nowhere to edit my photos. At this point I would skip the editing and just post the originals up if I could just resize them for the internet. But NO! I can’t so they must stay on my camera. My dad was able to get my old dinosaur computer running yesterday but with my luck the disk drive doesn’t work so I cant download my Photoshop. Of Course! Good thing I’m not getting paid for these photos, I’d be in bad shape. At least the Internet works now.
Last week I turned in the baby photos from my last post and my teacher chose 2 of my newborn photos from the class selection and said she “Loved them!” She made me raise my hand and it was awkward when everyone looked my way. I softly smiled but was screaming and jumping up and down on the inside. It made me feel pretty awesome but I know I still have much to improve on. The other day my husband was updating his grandmother on what’s been going on with our lil familia and I overheard him mention that I was going to photography school and that “she’s actually pretty good at it!” He has no idea but this meant the world to me. I love that I am proving to him that I could be good at this. But more importantly I am slowly proving to myself that I can be good at this. Going into something you have no idea about and spending all this money on equipment & school, you only hope that one day you’ll be good at it. I had no idea if I could pull this off but it’s actually happening. And to get kudos from my teacher that was something I didn’t expect at all. I’ll be posting photos up soon… (hopefully) My School is pretty awesome because we get hands on practice with people we know to be our models. I got to shoot (phorograph) one of my fellow students who was acting as a bride. The Instructor took us all outside to show us how he photographs brides. He used the most random spots and they came out beautiful. He even used a trash can for the bride to rest on and it didnt show up in his photo. Its cool how he can shoot anywhere and it still comes out awesome! This session he was doing most of the shooting while we acted as the paparazzi trying to get any shots that we could. What sucks about this is right when you think you got a good shot, someone walks through so you get other peoples heads and elbows in the photos.
I finally got time to post these baby photos from our class photoshoot... I also have photos of a bride but she'll have to wait for manana. Hope you like! Goodnight :)
