What better place to have a summer wedding than out near the ocean on the beautiful Queen Mary! I had such a nice time shooting Jim and Jamie's intimate wedding with Abigail Tanori back in June! Check out this super sweet couple and the serene view!
Since I was second shooting I got to hang out with the groomsmen all day -such cool guys! Jim is a huge fan of the show Mad Men so that's the classic look he was going for with his suites.
Jim's daughter had thee cutest expression when her dad and new step mommy kissed!
Never did I think that instagram and hashtagging would actually be worth all the time that goes into it -but it definitely did when I met Sylvia and Darryl! They were the first clients that weren't referred by mutual friends -so this was a brand new experience for the both of us! I knew from the first email that Sylvia sent me that they were going to be a great couple to work with! She opened up immediately telling me all about their love story -how she met Darryl while working at the movie theater and they've been dating for 14 years! Now that's something to be proud of! After getting to hang out with them at their engagement session (photos HERE) I knew that their wedding was going to be great! They are such an easy going down to earth couple that you just want to surround yourself with! During their speeches friends and family praised them for being amazing people -together and individually. Sylvia's maid of honor gave them three keywords of advice for a strong successful marriage; courtesy, compromise, and communication. Great words of wisdom!
Darryl & Sylvia thank you so much for sharing your special day with us! I'm so thankful to have met you!
Can you say stunning!!! These Badgley Mischka's are gorg!!!
Sylvia thought of a sweet creative gift for her bridesmaids -personalized hangers!
She also gave each of her bridesmaids these customized handkerchiefs for happy tears only!
Darryl wasn't lying when he said that tennis shoes was his THING! He ordered these stylish silver "Super Bowl Trophy Pack" nikes just for his big day!!!
All Souls Church is where the ceremony was held.
I'm still swooning over these two lovebirds!!!
I love that they incorporated the movie theme into their wedding -since it was such a huge part of their love story!
Their candy bar was filled with all the candies that you would see at the movie theaters! Yumm!!!
How adorable is this theater seats and popcorn cake topper!
Darryl prepared a sweet mini movie for his beautiful bride!
Such a perfect Mother son moment! Love that they chose a dance from the movie "Pulp Fiction" for their mother-son dance! Epic!
Many thanks to the amazing team who made this wedding come to life...

Returning to work after maternity leave was scary -it's not like I could pick up where I left off. Business had to close for those months so I had to basically restart it up. This industry is always changing so I had to play lots of catch up. We launched the new website, gave the blog a facelift and I started second shooting my butt off for other fabulous photographers to get back in the groove of things. When I wasn't shooting weddings or sessions I was doing my homework on branding, marketing, networking. Attending workshops and mentor sessions. Phew it's been a journey! This is not just an expensive hobby for me, this is my career. I spend the majority of my days building my business - It's pretty much my third child :) Thank God for the friendships, clients, & mentors that I have met along the way! I'm feeling very thankful! Here's a sneak peak of the weddings we shot over the spring and summer that will be hitting the blog soon :)
