For babies older than 1 yr of age, we head outdoors for the beautiful natural light. Don't worry about awkward stiff posing, it's all about capturing natural moments between you and your family :) Here are some of my favorites from little Miss Harley's "Mommy and me" photo session. They are too adorable together!!! 

The last seven months have just flown by! I'm not exaggerating when I say that she has been thee best baby that we have ever had! Sorry boys but she literally poops on your parade! I don't know if its because she's baby number 3, she's a girl, or if its just luck of the draw -but this whole experience has been so much different this time around. To think we were sooo terrified of adding another baby to the mix of our crazy busy family, but she fits in so well! She's such a little sweetie!!! I wish that I could bottle up her sweet smell, soft skin, little giggle, and her pure innocence -so I could  bask in it years later when she's a teenager and wants nothing to do with me :( Wahhhh!!! 

We took these photos last month when she hit her 6 month milestones! Photos at this age are soooo much fun because they can show off all their new skills, like rolling over, tummy time, & sitting unassisted (ours is blurred because she wasn't too good at it yet and she fell over)! After buzzing her hair down to G.I. Jane when she turned 4 months, it's finally starting to fill in! And would you just check out all those chubby rolls!!!! I wish my rolls were as cute as hers!!!   

You'll also notice her amber teething necklace that she got as a gift. The raw amber is supposed to be a natural way of reducing inflammation during teething. I'm new to all this natural remedies but I've become a believer of this product!!! There were days that she didn't wear it and she's was super drooly and miserably gnawing on everything (clearly teething), but when she wears her necklace she drools way less to the point that she doesn't even need to wear a bib! And the gnawing is less irritable! I love it and highly recommend to at least try it for a week straight to be able to see a difference. We used to sleep in ours until our Doc recommended against it, so we take it off at night. But she started wearing it around 3 months of age! This one is from Canyon Leaf, you can find it HERE. 

Talk about a special Mothers day gift, Hillary booked a session to capture the four generations of her family; grandmother, mother, herself and her baby girl! So we met up on in Brea at one of my favorite shooting locations. The sun was shining in and out through the clouds which made for some great light and airy photos. We caught some great organic moments between little Ella Drew and her leading ladies!  I totally need to get a photoshoot like this with my Nana, Mom, and Baby Ray! Its such a great idea! I went a little crazy trying to narrow down my favorites...

This may be my new favorite age to photograph -baby Lorenzo came to the studio at 4 months old, and he was so drawn to the camera! We had so much fun, he's such a happy little guy! His mama is an old friend of mine from college. Congrats Irais & Joey on your sweet baby boy! I am so honored to be the one to capture your first family photos! Here are some of my favorites!
