Back in Feburary I was lucky enough to collaborate with stylist Blaire from Sparkles and Vintage, Makeup/Hair Artist Claudia, & florist Linda from Victoria Ivy Flowers on a Styled Photoshoot Giveaway. We received some awesome entries but the one that stood out the most was from a sweet husband who was trying to win a special maternity photoshoot for his wife. Here is what Manny wrote: "For a theme I was thinking a FUN vintage military-maternity photoshoot of my wife and I. My wife is a big fan of vintage inspired shoots using different types of props that add style to the photos. (Old suit cases, vintage furniture, and anything that gives it a "blast to the past") lol I know that was a bit corny but I was not sure what other words I can use to describe my wife's vivid imagination! In other words something straight out of the Notebook, her favorite movie. Thank you for taking your time to review my entry. I hope men are allowed to participate too as I know my wife really wants and deserves this." Stephanie and Manny met in 2004 when she was 14 and he was 16 years old. They became good friends before dating. In fact Manny helped Stephanie get through some heart breaks. He was her shoulder to cry on and before she knew it she was falling in love with him! They started dating soon after he was deployed for basic training. Manny showered her with tons of letters and Hallmark cards while he was gone. Manny didnt believe in love but Stephanie sure did change his mind and after two years of long distant dating he expressed his love to her on one knee when he proposed. They waited a few years to try for babies, unfortunately when they were ready they lost their first pregnancy at 13 weeks. Sometimes this tragedy can tear couples apart but luckily this made them closer. After trying for some time and not being able to conceive they ended up putting it in God's hands. Now 7 months pregnant Stephanie says that "God has blessed us with our rainbow after the storm." They are beyond excited to bring their little boy Max into this world. Stephanie and Manny are the sweetest couple and we are soooo happy to be able to capture this special moment in their lives. Blaire did an amazing job at stylizing this vintage military themes photoshoot. Claudia did a beautiful job on Stephanie's classic hair and makeup. On point!!! Here are some of the letters that Manny send Stephanie... Gotta love his name!!! Loving the pop of color in the gorgeous bouquet Linda created. The wildflowers, lace and twine fit in perfectly with the theme! Stephanie you are stunning!!!!

It was such an honor to be able to plan a babyshower for my brother Chris and Alexandria! They are fans of Lions and wanted to somehow incorporate that in their sons name. They fell in love with the name Ari Michael, which means "Lion" in Hebrew, and Michael is after our youngest brother. Here's some photos of the DIY décor before we got the party started! Big thanks to J's Party Rentals for all the linens, tables and chairs. My aunt Linda, owner of Victoria Ivy Flowers did an amazing job on the floral arrangements! Im in love with all the different shades of green! I got the vases at the dollar store and just spray painted them white! The little wooden lions and ribbons are from Michaels! Can you say "design on a dime!" We were going for the neutral colors and these smores goodie bags fit in perfect! Those adorable tags are also from Michaels and we just labeled them with paw prints & "thank you" rubber stamps. These moss balls were the most random idea and a pain in the butt to make -but I think they turned out neat and added some texture to the décor! My favorite table was in the worst light area! :( First lets start with the adorable knitted lion beanie and bottom made by my talented friend Arlene, owner of Spoiled Rockin' Custom Crochet. The A-R-I letters were bought from Michaels and we wrapped them in orange yarn. Those little babies were time consuming too! My aunt Linda also made the coolest veggie bar I've ever seen! Who knew that the health trend was going to take over dessert tables! Huge Hit!!! And of course I had to bust out a cake for my new little nephew and some cupcakes for the sweet toothes! The little Lion is made out of fondant too! :) Alexandria found the coolest ideas on pinterest on how to make your own trophies to give away as prizes. We got the bottles from walmart and the bases from Michaels and just spray painted them! Im telling you I am a spray painting fool!!! The babyshower was a success with lots of good times and laughter! Congrats again to my bro Chris & Alexandria! Now pop this baby out so we can hold him already!!!
I noticed something was different about my brother Chris when he brought Alexandria home to meet the family! His smile was larger, he laughed more often, and his eyes never left hers! This was a man in LOVE! They met through a mutual friend and became workout buddies first. Alex is a personal trainer and after a few hikes and workout sessions she whipped him into the best shape of his life. They built a solid friendship that soon grew into love! One day he came home telling me how he had never felt this way about anyone before, he finally found the ONE, and he wanted to plan a special proposal because he knew he wanted to make her his WIFE! Well life had a different plan for them and a few months later Chris announced on his birthday that he was going to be a daddy! We were completely stunned and overjoyed for them! Chris and Alex are amazing with my boys and we know that they are going to be AWESOME parents! They chose to have their session at the hiking trail where their friendship began, in Los Angeles. It was the day after our "2 day Winter rain storm" so the weather was still overcast. Enjoy this urban themed maternity shoot... She's glowing! By the way not one stretch mark has hit this 8 month prego belly! Lucky lady!!! Bro stop being so damn handsome!!! Alex you are beautiful inside and out!!!! So when my brother told me that he wanted to surprise Alex with a proposal during their maternity shoot, I was overwhelmed with excitement! Im not gonna lie i definitely shed a few tears! I am just sooo happy for them and their start of a beautiful life! Right before the photoshoot ended he chose a secluded garden area to drop down on his knee and pour his heart out to the woman of his dreams. And she said YES!!!! Her reaction is priceless!!! Bro & Alex Thank you soooo much for allowing me to be apart of this huge moment in your lives! You guys ROCK and are perfect for eachother! Alex Welcome to this crazy familia! ;) And hurry up and pop out my nephew -I cant wait to hold him and introduce him to the wolf pack! They're going to be the "3 best friends that anyone could have!!!"hehe!
