Ok so Im gonna try to get through this blog post without crying! Which is hard cuz I've been told that I'm a crybaby!!! Whatever... I own it! I've got a big heart -so what! lol! Anyway You might recognize this family because I've been their family photographer for the past few years. I don't usually shoot family portraits BUT how could I say no to my best friends! This wasn't just your normal family portrait session it was more of "going away portraits" -they wanted to make sure to get photos of them with both sets of grandparents before they leave to Florida! (That's it here come the tears!) They announced a couple months back that David got a great job opportunity out there and they were thinking about leaving! Of course we were happy for David but I didn't want to believe that they were leaving again! Right when we had rekindled our friendships! Monique had been one of my best friends since highschool and after she graduated she moved to Texas where David was stationed in the Army. We both realized that we're not so good at long distance friendships haha! We're both not phone people... we'd rather spend time in person! David just got released 3 years ago and now they're leaving us again!!!! :( Wahhhhh!!!! David and Monique are very rare people... in a good way... they have the warmest personalities and are so kind & generous to all! They are the type of people that would give you their shirts off of their backs! They both have a spark about them that totally lights up the room! Everyone that meets them just loves them! It totally sucks because we've been growing our families together for the past few years... camping trips, train rides, bbq's, charades, date nights, random starbucks drop off on sunday mornings! (yup that did it I'm fully ballin now!) You will be missed sooooooo doggone much! We love you and you guys are our Florida FAMILY now! We'll just have to settle for facetime & once a year visits until you come back to cali! I gotta start planning a road trip! :) So anyway haha here are the pics! Check out this little stud! Such a beautiful loving family!

I'M JANELLE MARINA
Wife, Mama Shark, + Photographer. Most days, you'll find me in mismatched socks and a top knot, working behind my computer with a smile on my face, listening to Zac Brown Band and R&B --or, dancing in the kitchen with my 3 littles and hunka husband, seeing who could come up with the coolest dance moves. I'm a wedding photographer, West Elm lover, aspiring advocate for our buddies with special needs, and a Certified Dreamer since 1986. We live in a cozy city in Southern California and are always up for a good adventure. I enjoy telling stories with my camera, grubbing on spicy food, and solving the latest Dateline case.
